Welcome back to cricket! We look forward to a fantastic season 2025/26.
Here's all the information you need about:
Washington Park Cricket Club has a Club Shop which is your first stop for all your cricket equipment, playing apparel, social wear and casual club items. The Shark Shop is operated by our merchandise supplier Swivs Locker. The Club works with Swivs Locker to ensure that the merchandise available is both good quality and competitively priced and provides great value to our members. Information provided below explains how the Club Shop works.
South East Cricket Association (SECA) requires all clubs to use a SECA approved supplier for playing apparel to ensure uniformity and compliance across the competition. Swivs Locker is a SECA approved supplier and is Washington Park’s Club approved supplier and is the only clothing supplier able to provide apparel with the Washington Park CC logo.
Swivs Locker has developed the Washington Park Club Shop. Access to the Washington Park Club Shop is via the Swivs Locker website here:
https://swivslocker.com.au/wpcc/
The Club Shop is only open for specific time periods or windows. There are typically 3 or 4 windows each season for around one week at a time. These dates are listed on the Club Shop page. Orders need to be placed during this window and payment must be made at the time of purchase. If no payment is received then your order will not be processed.
Once each window is closed, in the week following closure, the Club will process all orders received through Swivs Locker. Once the order is agreed then Swivs Locker proceeds with the manufacture and procurement of the ordered items. The large majority of items are manufactured and supplied to order. Neither the Club nor Swivs Locker maintains stock-on-hand of any items barring a small number of exceptions.
The process and manufacture of ordered items takes approximately 6 weeks. Swivs Locker aims to have orders delivered to the Packer Park clubrooms 7 weeks after the window closure. Each individual order is packaged separately by Swivs Locker and will be available for collection from the clubrooms on the Friday and Saturday immediately after the delivery. If your order is not collected by Saturday, the Club will notify you that the order is available for collection and will agree an alternative time for you to collect your order.
If there is a problem with your order (e.g. order missing, item missing, item damaged etc.) please contact the Club’s Apparel Coordinator, Tim Oaten (email: timoaten1999@gmail.com, mobile: 0431
025 747). Tim will act as the liaison between yourself and Swivs Locker to ensure that your problem is rectified as soon as possible.
As noted earlier, the Club maintains a small stock of selected items. These can be ordered through the Club Shop or they can be purchased directly through the Apparel Coordinator or the Club Secretary. These items are available immediately. For season 2025/26 the immediately available
items are:
● Women’s Playing Pants (Selected sizes only) - $20

Washington Park Cricket Club is a club of families for families and we want you involved! When parents and guardians get involved, the kids and the parents have a more enjoyable cricket experience. There are many of ways that parents can get involved, regardless of your level of involvement. Below is a list of ways that parents and guardians can help!
Game Day/Training:
Off Field:
If you are interested in finding out more information about any of the above ways you can get involved at Washington Park please contact the junior committee at wpccjuniors@gmail.com.
At Washington Park we expect our parents and guardians to conduct themselves at all times in a manner that reflects the standards and values of our Club and in accordance with the policies endorsed by the Club Committee.
Washington Park Code of Conduct
The Washington Park Code of conduct is found here [ADD LINK]. It is the aim of the Club that all members, players, parents and supporters respect and adhere to the Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct defines the behavioural standards that the Club expects from parents, guardians and their supporters. The Club expects parents, guardians and supporters to adhere to the Code of Conduct at all times.
Fair Access Action Plan
Washington Park Cricket Club endorses and supports Glen Eira City Council’s Fair Access Policy by identifying specific commitments and actions undertaken by the Club to progress gender equitable access and use of community sports infrastructure. The commitments and actions align with the aims of Glen Eira City Council’s Fair Access Policy principles and specifically address the Fair Access Principles developed by the Office for Women in Sport and Recreation.
The Action Plan presents the commitment of Washington Park Cricket Club to take positive action towards achieving gender equity, remove barriers for women and girls to participate and promote cultural diversity and inclusivity. The Fair Access Action Plan is provided here [ADD LINK].
The Club expects parents, guardians and supporters to respect and promote the Club’s commitment to gender equity, cultural diversity and inclusivity.
Medical Emergency Action Plan
First Aid kits are kept at Packer Park and are available for use at any time during training or match day. Where the team plays away from Packer Park a smaller version of the First Aid kit is available for Team managers to take to each away game. Any First Aid is administered by the child’s parent or guardian if present, and the Team Coach or Team Manager if the parent or guardian is not present.
In the event of a medical emergency at training or on game day, the Coach will liaise with the parent(if present) on the best course of action starting with transporting the child to the closest medical centre or emergency department through to calling an ambulance if required. If the parent is unavailable, the Team Coach makes the decision regarding suitable medical action and is likely to liaise with the Team Manager in this regard. It is recognised that the Team Manager does not necessarily have First Aid training and it is not a requirement of their role.
An AED (Automated External Defibrillator) is available within Packer Park pavilion and is
accessible on training and match days.
Club Smoking Policy
Under State Government legislation smoking is banned within 10 metres of a sporting venue, including within 10 metres of clubrooms and outdoor spectator areas, during an organised under-age sporting event. Compliance with the ban is expected to occur through public education and awareness. A Team Coach, Team Manager or Club Official are not expected to enforce the ban and are not empowered to do so. Note that the same 10m limit applies to playgrounds.
Parents and guardians who are smokers are requested to move to the bike track end of the pavilion.Smokers at Duncan MacKinnon are requested to move to the footpath on Murrumbeena Road.
Club Alcohol Management Policy
Washington Park Cricket Club has a Renewable Limited Licence. A copy of the licence is kept in the back kitchen along with a plan of the pavilion which defines the licenced area. The club is only licensed on Thursday evening and Saturday afternoon and evening. The club is not licenced on Wednesday, Friday or Saturday morning. This is in line with Liquor Licencing and Glen Eira Council policy which do not permit the sale of alcohol at underage sporting events.
The club has a special approval attached to the licence which permits persons under
the age of 18 years to be on the licensed premises (i.e. Thursday and Saturday) other
than in the company of a responsible adult in relation to preparation for and
participation in sporting activities only. This means that junior players may attend
the club on Thursday and Saturday even if their parent or guardian is not present.
All bar staff at Washington Park have completed the Responsible Serving of Alcohol
course and are registered with Good Sports Australia. The approved nominee is the club Secretary.Any questions regarding liquor licencing, including any potential breaches of the licence conditions should be notified to the club Secretary.
