The Sharks welcome Jennifer Taffs

Preseason training starts in September on Sunday mornings with special ‘come and try’ days organised for female participants who may be new to the sport. These will be advertised on our website.

We are very lucky to have Jennifer Taffs as our Coordinator of Junior Coaching at WPCC who provides huge support to the female players at the Club.

Jen joins Washington Park with a long history associated in cricket, stemming from her junior cricket days in New South Wales. From representing her state as a junior in the underage competitions, to playing in the Women’s Big Bash League,

Jen has gained valuable cricket knowledge and shared in many experiences that some could only dream of. Jen was part of the Melbourne Renegades inaugural WBBL list, playing 13 games in the first season of the competition.

A hard-hitting opening batter and handy left arm leg-spinner, she is playing in the Victorian Premier Cricket competition for Essendon Maribyrnong Park, with Jen winning the Player of the Final in the T20 Grand Final in 2018. Jen is currently coaching representative level cricket with the South East Bayside Breakers female teams across the Under 14 and Under 17 age groups. She has also worked within our region assisting at school clinics and coaching players one-on-one.
